We know what it takes to build the most advanced, reliable and high-quality wind turbine blades in the industry. Capturing the wind in remote places, in all types of weather, calls for reliability. And; reliability comes from experience. Our wind turbine blades are advanced creations: designed, manufactured and validated with cutting-edge tools to endure the forces of nature for more than 20 years. Technology plays a central role in the design of each wind turbine blade type, taking into account several factors such as materials, aerodynamics, blade profile and structure. These factors define the performance and reliability of the blade and require an extremely high degree of precision. We are confident when we state: we know blades.
REVOLUTIONARY HYBRID CARBON AND CONSTANT INNOVATION
Mastering the best of two worlds, LM Wind Power combines glass and carbon fiber in one material, using an innovative, yet reliable hybrid manufacturing set-up. It’s one of the ways we capture the wind to power a cleaner world. All LM Wind Power blades integrate standard features into the overall blade design, and we custom-develop and fit add-ons onto blades in consultation with our customers. An LM Wind Power blade design comes with a series of standard aerodynamic features that blend high performance and reliability specifically suited to the customers’ needs.

Pride. Ambition. Persistence. Passion for our craft. Dedication to a cleaner world. These are the qualities that make up LM Wind Power people. And, these are the attributes it takes to break our own records and build reliable blades time and time again. With each of our record-breaking blades – the LM 61.5 P in 2004, the LM 73.5 P in 2012 and the LM 88.4 P in 2016 – we’ve been shaping up for something bigger. Our next great achievement is the LM 107.0 P: the world’s first blade to shatter the 100-meter barrier. A single, offshore wind turbine with these 107-meter giants can harvest enough wind to supply 16,000 households with clean energy.
We have a global manufacturing footprint and are a valued partner in established and emerging markets all over the world. Uniformity in our production processes becomes even more important because of our global manufacturing footprint - across 15 locations and four continents. The first blades have been delivered from our newest factories in Bergama, Turkey and Baodi, China. Our factory in Cherbourg, France is well on its way and we expect to start production in 2019. As always, we are present where our customers want us to be.
