Equipped with an excavator and a hard hat, LM Wind Power's VP Industrialization, Ben Malefijt, had the pleasure of personally breaking ground for LM Wind Power's new blade manufacturing plant in Bergama, Turkey today. The plant will be the 14th LM Wind Power plant worldwide and is expected to employ around 450 people when it starts production by mid-2017.
The groundbreaking was hosted with officials from the Bergama Organized Industrial Zone (BOSBI) in which the site will be located, and local government officials who helped cut the ribbon to the 17 hectare plot.
