Our Performance Management Process facilitates annual reviews and career development planning which in combination with targeted talent programs and skills improvement training represent the backbone of our people programs.
We believe that equipping people with the right tools and skills combined with clear communication on what is expected of them help provide a solid foundation for satisfied employees and sustained business success.
We support a culture of recognition and achievement in LM Wind Power. People who have shown outstanding commitment to their work in terms of performance, effort, results and behavior can be recognized by managers and colleagues among other things through the LM Star program. This program allows colleagues to nominate colleagues who are awarded and highlighted in our global internal communications.
To measure our success in being able to create an attractive working environment we look among other things on absentee and turnover rates which we track for blue and white collar employees respectively. The absentee rate is part of the annual sustainability report.
Community outreach
Much of our People activity focuses on the people employed in the LM Wind Power group. However, we are also a supportive participant in the local communities where we operate, and collaborate with a number of educational institutions as well as local and global NGOs providing either employee volunteering or financial support. We always have a number of students working on assignments for us as part of their education and have among other things established a cooperation with MBA students to review our sustainability program during the summer 2011 and suggest improvements.
