More than 150,800 wind turbine blades in 30 years
We are a powerful player with a rich past. By end of the year 2011, LM Wind Power employed 5,803 people world-wide.
Our first set of blades was installed in the Windmatic wind turbine in the Scotland waters near Orkney Islands during the 1970s. So far we have supplied brakes to more than 65,000 wind turbines worldwide.

LM Wind Power has produced more than 150,800 blades in the course of more than 30 years corresponding to approximately 54 GW installed wind power capacity which can each year effectively replace approximately 93 million tons of CO2.
More than 65,000 wind turbines have been supplied with braking systems over the past 25 years and heavy duty braking systems have been supplied to a range of industrial applications.

Our global manufacturing footprint includes factories located on three continents in fourteen locations in Canada, USA, Spain, Poland, Denmark, India and China – on or close to all key markets for wind power to better serve our customers.
